The MLD Foundation was formed in May 2001 to serve families affected by metachromatic leukodystrophy (MLD), a terminal neuro-genetic condition affecting people, especially infants and children throughout the world. Our slogan, We C.A.R.E.™ reflects our purpose of Compassion, Awareness, Research and Education. Specifically we facilitate Compassion, increase Awareness, influence Research, and promote Education for metachromatic leukodystrophy. We are serve hundreds of families throughout the world and are the world's largest compassion focused organization for MLD.
